I work in the video space, and use an iPad with a beam-splitter teleprompter. I don't know what it is, but most teleprompter apps for iPad just suck. They force me to speak at a set pace, and make my speaking less 'human'. Also, if I mess up, I've gotta either use one of those remotes or walk up to the iPad, scroll up, and walk back quick enough to restart. I decided enough was enough and built Prompter, a new free teleprompter for iPhone and iPad that solves these issues. It listens to the speaker, adjusts pace to match them (not fixed speed), and responds to navigation commands (like "go back a sentence", "go back a paragraph", "go back to the beginning"). Please check it out if you also hate teleprompter apps, and let me know what you think. Hopefully it solves your headaches like it did mine!
