I don't trust NYT's denial of using "AI" in this case. But the examples of "genre glitching" are what I enjoyed in the weekly fashion section of the daily newspaper as long ago as the 1980s. I never bothered to analyse or pin down what tickled me about fashion writing, this is a good clue for me personally.
