These actors (who are variable over time) intend to compel high level decision makers to continue investing in proprietary models. Early “FUD” campaigns exhibit this trend, though they have grown more subtle over time, preferring a “passive voice” strategy leaving outsiders to ponder for themselves if such reliance is “worth it.”

LLM driven development has distracted from this initiative, yet these are persistent and will return in their own time.
