I have not seen that happen. Ever. I've seen engineers put up the guiderails that allow vibe coding to build a base of a product, which they then finish out either by hand or by spending a boatload of money on tokens.
But not once have I seen a non-engineer do so. The non-engineers are the guys who throw something together in a weekend, slap it online, have it hacked before Monday morning, then say "Oops, I guess I do need to learn a bit about how software works."
