I want to tell you this is good news, and I think it mostly is. But fewer licenses doesn’t mean more kids on bikes — it may just mean teenagers spending more time on screens and not going anywhere at all.
That is absolutely what it means. I have a 20 year old without a driver's license and this is in Texas. Here if you don't have both a car and a driver's license you are at risk of starvation and/or homelessness.
