In a highly interconnected world, any nation or group can cause enormous havoc.

The "might" of large nations may rest on weak links which are easily severed.

And their leaders may be oblivious to that fact in their stale ideas of exceptionalism and gunboat diplomacy.

A nation cannot lessen its external dependencies by conquering other nations. Germany and Japan learned that the hard way. Sic semper tyrannis.

Those with less to lose can cause the havoc on those with more to lose. You kinda don't want countries with nothing to lose.

Other countries should just view all of this as a declaration of war by this theocratic authoritarian regime. I don’t like Trump and his dangerous corrupt rule, but the rule of the ayatollahs must also come to an end.

If you are an American citizen, you should not worry about the ayatollahs ruling thousands of miles away from you, but you should be doing something about the tyrant ruling near you.

It was slowly sunsetting not so long ago ... what ever happened to make them act out so badly recently?

It was only last year they were sincerely offering to dilute the HEU reserves.

US politics is for Americans to resolve. They don't have a right to determine politics elsewhere.

    This should be concerning.
