    Here’s on OLD Linux distro that used to be linked from the “distribution list” from Linux.com (or was it .org) almost 30 years ago.

    tl;dr: it was a full Linux distro that you unpacked on a FAT drive. From Windows 95, you would “exit into DOS” and from there run (I think) monkey.exe - which would switch to protected mode and literally run Linux. And if you had the patience or stubbornness, you’d get XFree386 running too!
