The problem we kept running into was simple to describe but annoying in practice: the same stock, currency pair, or crypto pair can have different symbols depending on the data provider or target trading platform. To solve this problem cleanly, we built a shared listing identity management tool (alternative to OpenFigi) so each provider can render its own symbol format without changing the underlying record. It also covers market grouping, trading hours, holiday closures, and early closes as structured data.
