Good - this should be the default minimum standard. Unfortunately, no one expects their marriages to end or for living together to be unexpectedly considered a common law marriage by the state. And no one expects sham marriages or betrayals or whatever. But it happens.

The separation process is usually brutal and unfair, especially towards men. And I don’t just mean financially with the division of assets or alimony or child support. I also mean in terms of the amount of custody you get. It’s wise to protect yourself.
