The built-in Rust agent is surprisingly solid. I’ve built 3 projects using Codex and some open-source models, all from WSL on Windows, and it handled most of the heavy lifting.
I also used the “remote” feature to work from anywhere, which is super convenient.
It feels similar to Claude Code, but with more features and flexibility overall.
It’s still early, but definitely a very powerful tool if you’re building things regularly. I recommend using it with Codex.
