    Putting aside the details of the law, and just thinking on the actual problem here, this seems like it has some merit. We don't allow minors to make a lot of decisions for themselves when they are minors because they don't have a fully developed mind and can often make terrible, life-changing choices.

    But once that person is no longer a minor, IMHO they should receive ownership of themselves from younger age. Part of that ownership is the right to control their own image/likeness etc. A law like this (again, maybe not this exact law) seems like it does make sense. It's very much in line with ideas like privacy and "the right to be forgotten" and what not.
