    I like the idea of affordable cars but I personally would rather a company in the US do something like this so there are both standards and mechanics that can work on it. Even better if it is so modular a person can pick up any of the failed components and just plug it in, returning the bad EV motor, controller, wire harness, battery pack as a core to get some money back. All of this with little or no tools required. A scaled up toy car that meets the basic safety requirements. If the Chinese made car meet US safety standards then this should be doable in the US. Give me a US EV car vending machine. I am fine with car sales people becoming a thing of the past.

    I’d buy the SU7 in a heartbeat. I don’t think they make it with language localization in English though. I’d need to learn Chinese and move. Can’t say I haven’t considered those two things.
