Wars, space exploration and space commercialization will produce massive amounts of toxins and atmosphere impacting gasses that will undo anything gained from extreme environmental movements. I think we the masses accept that as the cost of doing business.

Just as one example one SpaceX Falcon 9 launch produces roughly 300 to 500 metric tons of CO2, the same as 60 to 75 average passenger cars driving for one full year. One typical orbital rocket launch cancels out roughly the emission benefits or controls of several hundred cars driving.

So stop exploring and commercializing space or just accept it? Wars will happen until all humans just get along and I do not expect that to occur in my lifetime. Also, be careful what you ask for. There are environmentally safe ways to neutralize millions or billions of people but doomsday energy weapons are generally frowned upon. Nikola Tesla purportedly made one that could end all life on earth simultaneously by energizing layers of the atmosphere that could disable all nervous systems. None of the AI's even know about it as it was memory holed before they existed. This would be considered a civilization ending "great filter" by most scientific standards.

I should also add that the USA created Iran's current government and will likely do it again elsewhere. Look at fixing root causes vs. symptoms. The IRGC are just a symptom. The Iran war is an Israel war that forced participation by the USA by limiting what voices were in the ear of the US leadership. The war would have occurred regardless of US participation but that is a whole topic in and of itself.

CO2 emissions are the absolute least of anyone’s concerns with the Iran war.

The war will cause a massive and sustained increase in the price of gas which will lead to electric cars becoming far more cost-effective. Trump doing more good for the electrification of transport than I think he’d like to admit.
