I haven’t really been opening an IDE for a while now, and that does seem to be the direction I’m heading. I even deleted VS Code from my machine. On the rare occasions I need to edit a file by hand, I just use Vim.

Different developers are going to end up with different workflows around AI. For me, I’ve learned how to use it in a way that produces code that’s at least on par with what I used to write by hand, if not better.

That said, I’m not building anything especially exotic. Mostly boring SaaS stuff and iOS apps.
