Bizarre. But not unexpected, from an unhealthy sociopath like Thiel. He’s mixing politics and religious appeal with the artificial secrecy of these lectures. And it is ultimately just about opposition to his personal political platform, since his version of the anti christ is apparently “fears around artificial intelligence, climate change or nuclear war”

The irony here is that Thiel thinks he knows more about the Bible than it's editor and publisher.

The Catholic church understands better than anyone the true nature of the Bible. They created it.

And judging by their actions, they take it less serious than most.
