    your best local candidates are not applying because they won’t indulge it tbh

    your error is not tactical, it’s strategic, you have lost the plot

    I just recently hired a guy who did excellent job on the interview, easily answering every question. Interview was over video so there was no way he could cheat. Then he ended up utterly incapable when working and had to be fired, frustrating everyone. I still have no idea what happened there. Maybe it's cheating is now on a higher level (someone else passing the interview using an elaborate face/voice replacement AI crap?)

      Video interviews are trivial to game.

      Ask the interviewer to call you on mobile phone and ensure they are not on speaker phone. I’ve had several candidates simply hang up and never call back - pretty funny (and sad too)
