Nice. What's the catch (if any)? How do you guys intend to make a profit, or even revenue? Will it forever remain free and local? Do other similar tools exist?

    Hi HN,

We built Qcut, a video editor that runs entirely in the browser.

The goal was to make quick edits simple without downloading heavy software or creating accounts. For simple tasks like trimming a clip or cutting a short video, most tools felt heavier than necessary.

With Qcut you can edit videos instantly: - no install - no signup - no watermark

Just open the site and start editing.

We also launched it recently on Product Hunt and would love to hear what the HN community thinks and what features would make something like this more useful.
