I'm the author. I was using Claude Cowork — Anthropic's research preview that controls your browser — to help fill out App Store Connect forms. It's a complicated process to fill it out right. This was my first submission, and I was on my third round of revisions. About 24 hours later I got a termination letter citing 'fraudulent conduct' and Section 3.2(f) — which covers 'actions that may hinder the performance or intended use of the App Store.' That's not a fraud clause. That's an interference clause. It reads like their system flagged automated browser activity. The app had zero users, zero revenue, and is live on Google Play with no issues. My warning to other devs: be very careful using any AI tool or browser automation near App Store Connect. For context: Apple terminated 146,747 developer accounts in 2024. Only 225 were reinstated — a 2.8% rate. EU developers get mandatory explanations and real appeals under the DSA. American developers get silence.
