I am in Google Play hell.

Some moron who has never written an app or a line of code is reviewing and telling me how my app "appears to not need MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission"

These fucking monopolies just keep abusing developers.

I have had 5 published apps before, my dev account is DUNS verified. User is prompted for permissions, the permissions required is part of the app. Some moron cant see it so I dont know what else to do.

I tried removing the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permissions and keeping MEDIA permissions but that does not let the app delete photos. Photo management is part of the fucking app.

I am sick and tired of the stupid canned responses, fuck you Google Play reviewer.

I will never write another Google Play app again.

At the risk of being a moron, why does an app that seems to carroonify a photo actually need to be able to delete/manage photos or files?

Good question, that's because it's a gallery app at it's core which lets you do all CRUD stuff on images/folders.

Are you familiar with Chesterton’s Fence?

I looked it up. What is your reference here, to me or the reviewer? Like, how am I supposed to know the review process is this stupid (this didn't happen last time I published an app 2 years ago)

I cant upload an app for review unless it's MVP or mostly complete, which is what I did.

I feel your description of the process as stupid fits neatly into that analogy. Rather than rail against it, work out why they seem reluctant.
