The same point it has always been. Babysitting while parent(s) are working. Left to their own devices kids will get into trouble and/or harm and/or cause harm and mayhem.

Maybe the kids learn a thing or three. Maybe one of those things is useful from time to time. I learned that there are three kinds of mathematicians: Those that can count and those that can not. Everything else I learned from my parent, from television and my own books.
