>Trinet, the Otaniemi area campus network, was founded in 1986. Today, it provides Internet access to all student apartments and dormitories located in Otaniemi and owned by the Aalto University Student Union (AYY) and the Foundation for Student Housing in the Helsinki Region (HOAS). The network covers about 2500 student households and is connected to Funet, the Finnish national research and education network. This enables access to academic network services, along with fast and reliable general Internet connectivity.
