Suhail, Andrej, Peter … these people are propagandists, spreading a false take about the HN community. They’re very disconnected from the real world, which is why Suhail can state something as absurd as claiming that all of HN’s users are jealous of Peter’s generational wealth. It really says more about Suhail, that he puts wealth on that pedestal and thinks the entire world must also think that way.

And as I’ve said elsewhere, it is telling that a certain class of people are attacking Hacker News when they have no shame about using Twitter/X, which is a much more toxic echo chamber. It also says a lot about their moral character when they’re willing to overlook all the harm suffered by millions of people (mostly minorities) due to racist/supremacist content on Twitter/X, but they will not tolerate a single word of criticism directed to themselves or their class. To me, that’s the behavior of selfish propagandists.
