    I guess it depends if you’re interested in the skill of software development and earning money, or if you don’t have any dreams of becoming a software developer. You’ve suggested that both are true, so I’m not sure what to say.

    If this is a skill that you’re interested in, then I would argue you should follow your interest regardless. Having something you’re interested in as a motivational factor is always helpful in my opinion.

    On the other hand, if you’re not interested in the skill of software development and you’re just in it for the money, then I would urge you to find something you are more interested in. AI or no AI if you’re not interested in software development, you’ll probably be a bad software developer and you probably won’t enjoy it as much as you would something you’re interested in.
