If someone knocks on your door and says “I represent someone who wants to buy your land. To find out the details, sign this NDA” you’re going to tell them to leave and shut the door. Until proven otherwise, all they want to do is waste your time (at best).

Near the end of the article, it mentions farmers who have agreed to sell land if the data center moves forward. That’s lame. I hope those farmers got a good amount of cash up front for selling an option on their farm.
