    Keep in mind we live in a consumer society so the goal is to increase consumption. Keeping it constant doesn’t fit the growth paradigm or maintain stock prices. And much of the consumption is fuelled by wage slaves…. So, reducing the aggregate income of the wage slave population will hurt the drive for revenue growth, possibly significantly. Cutting expenses is all well and good, but cash has to walk in the door to survive.
