Moatifi scores stocks across five moat dimensions (brand power, switching costs, network effects, cost advantages, and efficient scale) using a combination of financial data and GPT-5-mini analysis. You can search any US ticker and get a moat breakdown, management quality rating, and intrinsic value estimate. About 1,000 stocks are pre-analyzed.
I'll be upfront: the analysis isn't always right. It does well on companies with clear, well-documented moats, but it can miss nuance that someone with deep industry knowledge would catch. I'd love for people to try it on stocks they know well and tell me where it gets things wrong.
Tech stack for anyone curious: FastAPI backend, React/Vite/TypeScript frontend, SQLite with Litestream replication, deployed on Fly.io.
Would appreciate any feedback, especially on the accuracy of the moat assessments.
