Phonchain is an experimental mobile-native L1 secured by real smartphones instead of hashpower or stake.
Each participant contributes periodic device-signed heartbeats (PoP-Secure S4), aggregated into blocks with a fixed target time (5 min) and Bitcoin-like supply schedule (21M cap).
The goal is to explore whether large-scale phone participation (potentially tens of thousands per block) can provide Sybil-resistant security without specialized hardware.
Reference implementation and bootstrap endpoints are public if anyone wants to run a gateway or core node.
