    This resignation has nothing to do with AI safety. I call complete horse-shit.

    * Anthropic raises $20BN.

    * Tender offer at $350B valuation, triggers liquidity event.

    * Employee who worked there after 2 years 'resigns'. (sells equity at secondaries for $$$$$$)

    * Moves back to the UK (lol) to be 'a poet'.

    Forbes thinks we're that stupid to believe this nonsense when in reality, this employee sold out and virtue signals about AI safety when this letter is far from that.

    Come on.

      I agree. He has PhD. He was not naive about what the company "wanted" from him when he joined. He just filled his basket and when time came he cashed it. But you bringing in the financials really validated the suspicion

        Those two thoughts do not follow. Being academically accomplished has nothing to do with one’s naivety or general and social intelligence. In fact it isn’t rare for those people to especially suck at it.

        I’m not saying that’s not what Mrinank did (I have no idea, I don’t know them), but having a PhD does not prove it one way or the other.

      What’s funny about that?
