This is an odd coincidence, I went back to Linux recently because win 11 driving me nuts. Unfortunately I've got two problems that just seem unsolvable.

Unstable wifi network connection and temporary image retention if I use variable refresh rate.

I'm on mint Linux, Nvidia 1660 super, tp link usb WiFi. Other users reporting the same. Back in 2010 on another pc I had the same issues with WiFi on mint.

I don't have the time to mess with this stuff.

I'm considering win 11 lts. I really would prefer not to.

I guess "I tried dual-booting ubuntu after an 8 year break on 7 year old PC hardware that already had flaws and it wasn't a flawless OSX like experience like my M1 Macbook so I'm going to whine about it on the internet" doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well.

It's ok to have an actual criticism. It's a poorly written article that describes issues people have had but not taking a single step to actually fix them. They spend the entire article whining about computers being hard and not working perfectly, which is fine in my opinion, but then tries to imply that using Linux is a bad idea when, once again, they never tried to fix any of their problems, they put the bare minimum of effort into the entire article, and didn't even bring a conclusion to their article.

It's not AI slop, it's human writer slop.
