I’m the developer behind DayTradingCentral.
The Problem: I started trading a few years ago and realized the tooling landscape is bifurcated: you either use messy Excel spreadsheets or pay $30-$50/month for SaaS journals (like TradeZella) just to get basic analytics like Win Rate and Expectancy. As a beginner, paying high subscription fees while still learning (and losing money) felt like a punishment.
The Solution: I built a dedicated "Command Center" to consolidate journaling, risk management, and analytics into one place.
The Tech Stack:
Frontend: Next.js (TypeScript) for a snappy, app-like feel.
Backend: NestJS API.
Database: PostgreSQL (handling the trade logs and time-series).
Infrastructure: Hosted on Hetzner (dedicated metal) for performance/cost over AWS.
Integration: Native support for MetaTrader 4/5.
Business Model: It is currently free. My plan is to keep the automated journaling and analytics free forever to build a user base. I will eventually introduce paid features for advanced algorithmic backtesting and copy-trading, but I want the core tool to remain accessible.
I’d love feedback on the dashboard performance and the data visualization.
