    There's only one way to stop this, protesting is fine but the only way to make the point is for each state or the whole of USA to go on strike! not just for one day but weeks / months! every working person that thinks this is deranged it's only the start.

    If your government can go on strike for weeks and months, why can't the normal people?

    The biggest strength for this guy is the tech billionaires and the tech industry and they are all on their knees for whatever reason. They need to speak up and disconnect with him. It’s easy to do but they don’t have a spine.

    There was no need to make America "great" again. Before this reality TV star came to tell us how much we suck, we held our heads high, we overcame our differences and struggle, and created one of the greatest societies in the world. Now, it's being burned down by the outwardly fascist cabal we've been warned about since the National Socialists took over Germany in the early 20th century.

    There is no excuse for state sanctioned terrorism of this nature, the people defending "law enforcement" have no concept of how the legal system works in this country. They only wish for chaos and destruction, to eliminate anyone who doesn't obey in advance. Do not give in.

        America has always asserted its greatness, even through struggle and hardship. All countries, all peoples have dark chapters, we're no exception. We used to teach our own history, the good and bad. We used to rebel against tyrannical authority, against corporations, governments, kings and corrupt police. It's time we wake up and remember what actually made this country great, which has always been the people's right and willingness to assemble and fight.

    There are tons of avid Trump supporting MAGA Republicans on HN. Over the last decade, they've been happy to jump into threads whenever possible to spout their opinions. There are most likely thousands of people here who voted for Trump and his party in the last election.

    Are you going to continue to vote for Republicans? If so, please, feel free to explain your continued support for the Trump administration, the Republican party and ICE. We'd all be very interested hear the rationalizations.

    Does the corruption, abuse of power, nonsensical policies and outright lies not bother you? Or are you still convinced it's a "both sides" thing, despite how unprecedented the administration's actions have been. Let's hear it.
