She thought that part of the onboarding was transferring her entire life savings into a crypto platform? That's rough. At first I thought this was an ACH scam, but moving your money into crypto and then sending it to someone else basically means it's lost forever.

This is really sad. Yes she should have been more savvy. But preying on out-of-work individuals who are looking for employment is a unique brand of evil.
