I'm building a lightweight, distraction-free Bible reading app.

Some features that mattered to me: - Fully-offline - Pleasant reading experience - Ability to take notes, bookmarks and sync them across devices

I build this using: - Preact + Vite - Cloudflare Workers for syncing - IndexedDB for offline storage

I was a bit surprised with the "choose translation" and "Bible versions" selection, because it was all African languages. Maybe this is who it is aimed at. Also needs an easier means to look up references/verses and individual books.

However, it does look good and reads easily, and I also appreciate having a dark mode.

Thanks for the feedback! I tried to make the search feature in the nav bar (Cmd+K on desktop) to support searching for both verses and references but I can look at adding the traditional navigation as well.

And on translations, I started off with languages that I cared about but I can add more as well. Happy to prioritize any languages that you'd like to see.

Edit: Clicking the book name at the top should also pull up a bible picker
