Thank you for posting this. I lost my father over the weekend, and I had a similarly traumatic relationship with him. Reading this could not have come at a better time.

Oddly enough, the similarities extend to geography as well. My dad was living in Spain when he died. Not Portugal as in the article, but right next door.
