    Why AI divides programmers --- because the productivity benefits of AI are debatable.

    It often takes longer to review, understand, decipher and debug generated code than it does to write your own.

    Those enamored with AI seem to sidestep this review process until forced to engage with it at some later date.

    This is personal opinion that has recently started to garner support from formal studies.
