    Did SSDs get more expensive? The article says so, but doesn't provide any supporting evidence. It has the text "with RAM and SSDs becoming noticeably more expensive" with a link to another article, but that article doesn't even mention SSDs. Only that hotels in Korea are seeing a boom due to Apple (and others) visiting daily because of RAM prices.

    I've been casually browsing NewEgg's daily deals and NVMEs have been roughly $100/TB since basically 12 months ago. (With more and less expensive models available)

    Obviously I can't argue against the RAM prices. I saw Amazon selling 96 GB for over $1,000 yesterday.

      There are still absurd amount of computers available on eBay. They are not newest, but you can use them for most of the work and it will force software developers to optimize their programs, because ability to run software on 10-15 year old computer will become a competitive advantage.
