I went through a phase of consuming a bunch of productivity and personal development books. After a while I came to realize, like most others, that they all pretty much say the same things. I imagine this niche has a constant supply of new customers who buy a bunch of stuff, then move on. I’ve moved on to begin exploring fiction, which I’ve always avoided in the past.

The tech tools books seemed dead before AI. A former co-worker of mine bought a book on Go, because that was what he had done for the last 30 years when looking to learn a language. He quickly found out that the resources online were better and more up to date, leaving his book to collect dust. I think the same would be true for most books on AI, unless it’s foundational text.
