I thought this would be covered under CFIUS but I suppose that only applies to "foreign" companies. That distinction is a bit meaningless to companies as large and multinational as Microsoft, who is also too large to fail and has deep pockets.

That's nice but the single biggest threat to national security is not military but rather economic.

Why attack mitilarily when you can just strangle your adversary economically? This is what China is well on it's way toward doing.

The USA is surrendering international markets and influence to China --- which is the playbook for economc subjugation.
