Lots of people have been saying this for many years

Could care less that Elmo has something to say about it, BBC just looking for clicks and ad dollars by putting his name in the title

Depends on how much he relies on outsource firms. If most his H1B employees are not from those firms, they will likely press him to advocate against outsourcing flavor of H1B.

Traditional large corp like IBMs benefit more from those companies I guess.

I was placed by a recruiting firm that places a lot of tech workers from India for a short term project a few years ago. The recruiter worked hard to edit my resume to fit the job description (and I had to edit his edits to fit reality). It was embarassing. I was placed along with a couple other temps. They both had minimal experience, but despite my credentials far exceeding theirs, I was the lowest paid in the bunch. Not that it mattered to me. It was nice to get placed in a really beautiful campus. But the manager pointed out in a group meeting, indirectly but obviously, that my pay was way too low. I contacted the firm to express my disappointment and all I got was crickets. The firm had a "closer" whose only job was to lie to me, that was okay, I knew he was lying and he probably knew I knew he was lying.

I will caution that even submitting a resume to one of these firms can mean that your contact information may be distributed to other firms and you may get a LOT of spam job inquiries. It's really hard to block all those texts and emails, which is the only option when they don't ever respond to replies. Just really unnerving.

You don't even know which country these people are in... and they don't know our customs. In a word: degrading. But, they were aggressive and did their job, though it seemed very unprofessional to an American.
