Lots of posts on this lately due to broad population GLP-1 uptake. I expect this to accelerate as Lilly’s production facility north of Indianapolis comes online next year for their small molecule oral protocol orforglipron.

You cant blame a drug for the reduction in obesity statistics.

It may be that people are more aware of the shit that they eat, and are taking action to lose weight via other methods.

That, for me, is the only positive thing about the wegovy drugs family, is that it has given obese people an opportunity to reflect and take responsibility for their diets.

I dont think any obese person wants to live like a heroin addict, living on a methadone maintenance script for the rest of their lives. This is what the wegovy family of drugs is turning into. A maintenance script for life. Great for big pharma but not for the person.

A short term win for some, according to the poll, but ultimately you cannot control an epidemic obesity crisis with drugs.

It has failed with heroin and cocaine and all the other class A drugs.

Maybe birth rate will go up if people get hotter.

      > The biggest reduction in obesity is found among those aged 40 to 49 and those aged 50 to 64
