    Where else would an English speaker go? In terms of employment, European countries seem unwelcoming to non-fluent native language speakers.

    Australia discriminates based on age and has limited prospects.

    There’s Canada, but that’s kinda it.

    Seems weird with so many countries the realistic options are so few…

    Only the cunning linguists thrive…

      Apart from the 5-eyes countries there are former colonies e.g. Singapore. I'm not sure but I'd think countries that have a language that is not widely spoken would also be a possibility: Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden for example. Most educated English-speaking people (from outside the US) also speak a second language to some degree.
