    Clinical applications: Great! (I think? This is a knee jerk reaction and maybe there are externalities worth considering).

    Everyday application: Literally the last thing I need is more thinking/inner monologue. I have PAID (and since dropped) for coaching to help me quiet my mind, not give it MORE things to work on.

    "Only for the thoughts you want to share?" Article doesn't specify how that mechanism works. I have enough problems with blurting out dumb things aloud without thinking, I doubt I'd have much luck controlling subvocalizations.
