The founder posted an update on this a few days ago to his YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIfRLujXtUo — it's basically dead.

The two remaining petitions that are still open are anticipated to fail due to not getting enough signatures. The best hope—the European Citizens' Initiative petition—only got half of the million votes required, and it ends July 31.

Complicating all this, it seems it was picked up and completely misunderstood by another YouTuber, who then spent a bunch of time and effort talking about how the project (as he misunderstood it) didn't seem like it was very well-presented.

I don't think so. In the recent days there have been a spike of new signatures. If it keeps growing this way, it's going to be at >600.000 by the end of June, with one month left to the million.

      There's still hope.

The falloff for the attention is usually pretty swift, however. I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if it can even keep up at a rate of 20-30k signatures per day for even a week or two.

Would really need some mainstream attention to get that.

Apparently it has gotten some mainstream attention... it looks like the petition may reach 1 million+ signatures!
