    This is Supreme Court (potentially since it's not a final order) overturning Humphrey's Executor precedent (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humphrey%27s_Executor_v._Unite...), potentially leading to letting the president to fire FED members.

      This being said the opinion explicitly shield FED:

      > respondents ... necessarily implicate ... removal protections for members of the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors or other members of the Federal Open Market Committee. ... We disagree. The Federal Reserve is a uniquely structured, quasi-private entity that follows in the distinct historical tradition of the First and Second Banks of the United States.

    Kagan's dissent is amazing. She calls out the fact that the majority has already made their final decision on Humphrey's before it's been briefed or argued.

    I can't believe SCOTUS endorsed the approach of the president simply breaking the laws he doesn't like.
