Seems totally reasonable. You can't change the power demands, but you can change the size and thus the weight and MWh of the pack. So same diggery, same consumption, but for longer.
Swappables seem like a really good fit for this use-case.
I could be wrong, but I'd think assuming that it's within design tolerances you could increase power delivered to the digger mechanism itself with a different type of battery.
In the future we might have batteries that both increase power delivery and energy capacity.
