NOAA, USAID, USDA, CDC, NASA, NIH, etc. all represents hundred of millions of dollars and millions of person years of scientific effort.
The DOGE-ies and their ilk are flushing that all down the toilet. The notion that they're saving the US any money would be laughable if it wasn't so sad.
