    I wonder why he opts for an older DLP model and not one of those compact ones. Maybe the compact ones aren't bright enough?

      In his youtube video he mentions price — these are old used projectors sold off at really cheap prices. Same with the TV.

      In the video he mentions he got the old projector basically for free but a laser projector would have been ideal ignoring cost.
