    Makes sense given their CEO who has done a terrible job makes like $30 million USD a year.

    Classic. Instead of raising wages they fire 1 in 10. Boeing is such a joke I can’t imagine at this point how they turn it around. Paying $30,000,000/yr to the boss while they constantly face public humiliation and scrutiny due to poor safety and quality standards, plus failing to safely bring back those astronauts.

    Consider this: pay your workers more. They are the only ones producing true value for the company. Sell more planes, succeed as a company.

      Which of their employees do you think should get a raise? The ones who tested and signed off on that failed space capsule? Or maybe the ones who failed to bolt on a plug door that flew off a plane mid-flight?

      Don’t get me wrong, their senior management should also all be fired too, but a poorly managed company will have plenty of low performers to get rid of.

        All of their workers make below what they should. I’m of the belief that low salaries result in low quality.

        Let’s not be so fast to blame the working class for mismanagement coming down from the top. There are world-class engineering companies out there with good management and fair market salaries and benefits.

          The reality is that it's a slim gradient cabal of uber rich vs. everyone else. Everyone who isn't obscenely rich should seek solidarity to end the tyranny of and oppression by this group of greedy, selfish, antisocial criminals.

          I’m not opposed to higher salaries but I think it’s more likely that higher salaries would attract better employees. You still need to get rid of the low performers.

    And so the cycle continues. It's sad that it seems the fate of all the big aerospace companies is to get gutted by business and finance majors and slide into technical decline and turmoil.
