There's likely a lot of contraband coming into the US in what looks Shein and Temu packages. Leverging de minimus regulations isn't just to avoid taxes and forced labor laws, it also avoids the 0.01% of packages that are Fentanyl from being found by a customs agent. We shouldn't let a foriegn power DDoS our institutions.

  I don't think its sting was removed. The line was:
  Fortunately there was no sting in the tail of this tale, and Ms Alonso-Mossinger said it now felt "like it is a funny story... but it was pretty scary at the time".
  They sacrificed clarity for word play, but to me this means that no one in the story was stung.
